MGZS 180 2.5 v6

Hello. I'm selling my MG as i am going travelling soon and i have nowhere to stash it.

I bought it, admittedly, because i thought i'd get a few months out of it and throw it away (still cheaper than a car loan). But it has been one of the best cars i've ever owned, and i have had 23 of them in my time! It isn't as keen or tight as modern cars but it is every bit as reliable, as fun, and sounds better than my old Soarer V8.

'bad bits'; it has a squeeky power steering pump belt upon startup, meaning the pump itself could be on its way out. It drives fine and has done since i bought it last September so i'm not bothered by the noise, it disappears when the engine is warm anyway. If it gets worse i will definitely change it, it isn't a lack of funds, just motivation! It also has no history though i didn't care when i bought it as it was £1200 from a dealer with delivery.

It has a 4" cat back Piper exhaust, new tires, new discs and pads, 8 moths mot, oil and filter changed in October, headlight bulbs replaced before winter, 4 months tax, part-leather interior, immaculate inside, never been smoked in, very good paintwork with only minor scratches, great considering its age. It pulls well in every gear, has loads of torque & is pretty light so it is very economical, just don't punish it and expect 45mpg still. It does drink under heavy accelleration! Drive frugally and you'll see a shade over 50 miles from £5 petrol. This took me by surprise too. The sound is fantastic, and the suspension is top notch even by today's standards. Everything works re: power windows, lights, alarm, immobiliser etc. unlike many VW's of the same age i've owned in the past. Truly a great car and will last a long time yet. Oh, and the boot is cavernous.

I am in a hurry to sell because i will be out of the country in a month so i'll be open to offers, just not daft ones. I will ask for £800 o.n.o.
