Hello. I'm putting my sister's swift sport up for swaps for her.
Bad stuff: There's a little trolley ding in the rear offside quarter panel, there is a 20p size black mark on the nearside corner of the rear bumper (can see in pic). There isn't much history, probably about half of it then i took the work on myself. The nearside alloy has a chip in it, and there is a cigarette burn on the drivers' seat :( the seats cost £80 from a breakers. A new wheel - anything from £50 to £180, a panel beater quoted £30 for the ding (it is really light, hardly noticeable) and the paint touch up kit costs about £20 for the bumper. I just can't afford any of it due to being off work with an MMA injury and i can't drive the car as the suspension's too hard.
The good stuff: Four new tires. changing the oil next week, i fill it with Helix. It has 48,000 miles on the clock. V5 present. Two keys (keyless start). Dropped & changed the coolant at 32,000 & buy the coolant from Suzuki as it's the green stuff that nowhere seems to sell (and expensive). It's just had a years' mot on it and six months tax.
If you don't know much about these, they're a great car. Rally spec so Munroe suspension is standard, bucket seats, the engine's silky smooth & peppy over 4,000rpm. All the engine work has been done by Suzuki so it has a polished head, uses iridium plugs, high lift cams, forged pistons. It never runs out of puff and is ready to bolt a rotrex supercharger straight on. But it is so light, it would be wise to keep the power under 190 if you were thinking about doing this. Standard, it's a fantastic little B road muncher. Oh, and very, very economical if you stick to the limits.
I should say that - because of timewasters thinking some scratches means it's a write-off - It runs absolutely great, feels like a new car, and needs only aesthetic work to get it back to a point that even i would be happy with, and i am a pain in the a**e perfecionist. It is certainly not a category anything write-off. It runs like new.... If you can imagine a 5 year old (über reliable) car with a few scratches on it, and an honest owner telling you about said scrathes , that's exactly what is going on here :-/ i don't understand why i have to spell it out like this. Anyway. On that note; It truly is a bargain.
Also, as with my Leon, thanks to an MMA injury I can't drive. I'm very sorry to have to ask you to do all the work and come to me if we swap, but i will compensate you for fuel & effort.
These go for £4,000 to -£5,000 average private sales with 30,000+ miles above what this one has done. However, most do not need £500+spending on them to become immaculate again. So i'm reasonably unhappy to say that i would have to put this up for £3,500 Or swap for an automatic / 4x4 of the same value.
Thank you for looking. I will add more pictures as soon as possible, hopefully this weekend.
