Peugeot 406

Description:
Peugeot 406 hdi 110 estate, 7 mths MOT, runs perfect, ultra reliable, never fails to start, never does less than 46mpg, I believe this to have been remapped at some point as it goes very well and easily out performs my previous 2 of these and 307 110 I had, pulls well in all the gears, produces no smoke whatsoever, I`ve spent a fortune on this since I`ve had it, the previous owner had the a cambelt kit and waterpump replaced, its done around 10000 miles since these where fitted, it has now done 145k i think which is quite low for one of these as they`ve usually done 200k+, I have fitted the following.
both front wheel bearings
front drop links
front ball joints
track rod end
rear discs and handbrake shoes
fuel filter
recon injectors
fuel pump pressure sensor.
oil and filter.
I have never had to top the oil or the water up, as it just doesn't use any.
The car has a Peugeot rigid bootliner, retractable load cover, rain sensor wipers, cd player, digital aircon but this is disconnected so just has standard heater, trip computer, Peugeot factory fitted towbar with twin electrics, roofrails, front fogs, 4 excellent tyres.
The only issue with it is the laquer has come off the bonnet and roof, a small strip came off when I was jetwashing it 1 day so I jetwashed the rest off, you can only tell if close up, this is common problem with these cars as they where lacquered days after they where painted at the factory so the paint didn`t stick to each other lol, typical French, but at the end of the day this does not affect the excellent mechanicals of this vehicle, it has a few other bumps and scrapes which is to be expected from its age
I would not hesitate in getting in this car and driving across Europe, the only reason I`m selling is because I want a 7 seat diesel 4x4 again, I`m` after a diesel 7 seat Mitsubishi Pajero or diesel 7 seat Isuzu trooper/bighorn to which I will add a few hundred quid.
This is a cheap car taking into account it needs nothing doing to it.
