Rado Diastar watch
Location: North Of England - merseyside
Swap Value: £400-£500
Description:
Scratchproof Rado Diastar.
I bought this at a clock fair a few years ago, brought it home then forgot about it.
I think that the case is made out of stainless steel with some sort of Tungsten and Gold plating. And the bracelet is of gold plated stainless steel.
The crystal is faceted sapphire. I think that the dial is encrusted with crystals rather than diamonds and I believe that the hour markers are sapphire.
The case is unmarked as is the crystal. There are a couple of parts on the bracelet where the gold plating is worn. The bracelet has had links taken off so much that I think that, although this is a man's watch, I suspect it may have been worn by a lady.
The watch is keeping good time. I've had it on my timegrapher and its running about 6 seconds slow per day at 28800 bog which is acceptable for this watch. The amplitude is slightly lower than it should be so it may benefit from a service in the next year.
I am a watchmaker of many years experience so could service the watch for the right deal. Otherwise I will swap as is.
I guarantee that this is 100% Rado and can open the case for you to show you the Rado stamped, automatic movement.
