I bought this little gadget in case my battery let me down this Winter. As it happened my wife and I were in Devon earlier this month when the thing I had bought the Jump Genie for happened and the damn Jump Genie was back in the house up north. As we were in Devon for a funeral I could not have the battery letting me down again so I bought a new battery.

So, having never been used the Jump Genie is up for grabs. This is a brilliant little gadget, but rather than me try to explain how it works - this is what it says on the box:

Car won't start? flat battery? Just plug the Jump Genie into your cigarette lighter socket and 'hey presto!' in no time at all your car will be purring like a contented pussy cat.

Small enough to keep in your glove box, the Jump Genie is a handy, portable device that enables you to start your car without the need of a push or jump start. The Jump Genie simply plugs into your car’s cigarette lighter, making it a safe and straightforward way to jump start your car. It’s a clever little tool that simply removes the stress and worry from having discovered a flat battery when you need to get somewhere in a hurry.

The Jump Genie works on a fairly simple basis; it acts as a temporary replacement battery for when your car’s main battery is dead and it's as simple as 1-2-3:

1. Simply plug it into the cigarette lighter
2. Push the switch to the the 'power' position and the battery in the Jump Genie will provide power to the car's own battery.
3. Start up the engine and move the switch on the Jump Genie to the 'charge' position and your car will now recharge the Jump Genie, meaning it is constantly ready to use.
