gretsch electromatic double jet gold sparkle

Double cutaway, swapped an acoustic with a friend for this. Great looking guitar and nice sound, fitted with bigsby trem. However plays too much like a les Paul for me and im more of a tele/strat guy. Really good condition, still has tag on machine head. He paid £500 from dawsons a few years ago for it. Is the version with thumbnail inlays which look better than the newer version.
im after a fender strat or Tele, something around the same value. Like most people, don't have a lot of spare cash this time of year. Sorry no case. Also open to offers.
