can am ds 250 non runner has a spark

2009 can am ds 250 4 stroke
I got this about 2 years ago for me and my boy to use then one day it cut out,found out it had lost its spark so had a friend that works in a garage look at it and he told me the ignition had shorted and in turn killed the cdi unit so it has a new ignition and cdi costing over £200, iv lost intrest now need somthing that works to play with wouldn't mind a 80s trike
