1987 Volkswagen golf 1.3

Description:

1987 volkswagen golf 1.6
The car is originally a 1.3 but had had the 1.6 8v fitted by previous owner.
Still as 1.3 on logbook, upto new owner to change.
96000 miles
MOT till dec 14
No tax due to new laws
Lowered on adjustable coilovers

I bought the car just as a cheap run around and now looking for something a bit bigger.
Has recently had:
New rear wheel bearings
New rear top mounts
Front pads and discs
Oil and filter change
All have been done in the last 500 miles

There is no rot underneath the car. I've had it up on the ramp and had a good look as I was expecting it to require some welding when I bought it but hasn't needed anything. Slight rust bubbles on lower parts of doors but that's it.

The car runs without any problems other than the being a bit hesitant on idle once warmed up, this is common with mk2 golfs due to still using original carb and auto choke.

Windscreen is cracked on passenger side. Isn't I'm drivers view so is still legal and passed it's last mot.

Had a dent on n/s/f wing which causes front grill to stick out slightly. Never bothered me but can get 2nd hand wings fairly cheap.

Interior is in fair condition, has usual where on drivers seat which I've always covered with a seat cover. Has had a 12v socket fitted due to not coming with one originally. Also will come without the radio.

Does have the usual golf rattles here and there but this is to be expected from a 27 year old car.

Paintwork isn't the best but does come up quiet well for it's age.
