The previous owner before I brought the van was a lease company (LD Lease Drive) so the van has been maintained regardless of cost and with no expense spared. When I purchased the van it came with a full print out of all work that has been carried out on the van by the lease company including:
Clutch and gearbox replaced at 53521
A new turbo and timing belt at 58493 miles
New glow plugs and exhaust manifold at 68579 miles
New alternator and battery at 71601
New clutch and flywheel at 80666 miles
All of the above is just a small amount of the money that has been spent maintaining this van to a very high standard and it has been regularly serviced. In total there are 3 pages of all the work that the lease company carried out. Since owning the van I have given the van a full service including engine flush and replaced the oil with Mobil 1 high performance oil. I have also replaced the rear brake pads and a front engine mount. The van is now mechanically perfect. For the MOT the only advisories were the two front tyres which were worn close to the legal limit and these were both changed straight away. I also had the tracking and balancing done at this point.
The van has the legendary bullet proof 1.7 CDTI Isuzu engine producing a very healthy 101 BHP. The MPG on the van is fantastic; I'm getting an average of around 54MPG. Being 101 BHP the van is surprisingly quick and responsive, the turbo cuts in as and when it should and pulls very strong with no smoke. The van is a joy to drive even on a long journey, the gearbox is smooth and slots into all gears effortlessly.
The rear of the van is fully ply lined and also has rubber matting to reduce road noise. You will be hard pressed to find another combo van that has been this well looked after.
