Here's my 1988 nc 24.
I bought his in May, it's problems were the collector was rotted through, some side fairings were missing, right foot hanger was snapped,and the petrol tank was knackered.
I rode it home from York ( 50 miles ) and everything worked, only issue was it was loud as hell due to collector being dead.been sat in garage since!
Gears, tyres, lights, brakes, engine etc all good.
I sourced the parts and set about stripping the bike. I stripped it down and replaced collector and began assembly again. Pictures are how it is now, just not getting time to do anything so selling.
Bike has an art can, data tool alarm. Think the battery is caput but they're only £20 on e bay. All fairings are there now, I was going to have a go at spraying them myself and if it didn't work I was buying some repsol ones for £200 off e bay.
Put a bit more back together today, new coolant, oil, but wouldn't start, turning over but just didn't kick in, probably a wire or something somewhere. I'll try and find if I get time. Maybe carbs need cleaning as been stood 3 months, not sure. Looking at mots it's had new clocks, but would guesstimate from mots that it's about 50000kms or 30000miles. The front pipes need taking off and putting back on, I don't have a blow torch to heat the bolts up to get them off! Chain also needs putting back on.
Bike comes with a few odds n sods, rear foot pegs, clocks, rear seat etc
Bike is an easy winter project for someone who has the time, these high revving v4's are awesome. Especially through the twisties which is why a lot get turned into track bikes.
Have some old mots, v5 etc, bike is still taxed till April 2015. Bike cost me £650 and I've done £200 at least in parts, will accept reasonable offers or swaps/Px ?
