I bought this car in June as it came up locally after i sold my car and i had one years ago and liked it. I bought it, and it was smoking a little, i was hoping it was a clogged up EGR Valve. Unfortunatly it wasnt, it was the turbo :/
So i bought a new turbo and had it fitted, no smoke now and it pulls like a train. Receipt for work. Its recently had a new Starter Motor and a new clutch in 2012. I have stacks of paperwork for it, its been well maintained mechanically and drives beautifully. The service book is pressent and all stamped up as are the owners manuals, past MOT's, and some Tax discs etc.

Interior is in good condition, Mechanicals are excellent. It starts, drives and stops as it should.


Downsides (there are always some)

Engine management light is on, its because my mechanic blocked up the EGR valve when he fitted the turbo, and you cant do that on the 2005 Leons without it turning the engine management light on...didnt know this at the time (i am happy to show you the fault codes etc)
Laquer peeling on the roof and rear quarter panel - Common on these and this one is quite bad. Ideally the roof and rear quarter need re-laquering
Air bag light on - I removed the passenger seat last week to retrieve my debit card, since then the light is on and needs resetting but i dont have the tool to do it.
I dont have the log book, i have the receipt of purchase from a trader and the green slip, but it never came back after i bought it and i forgot to chase it up. Only realised today i didn't have it.

It flew through its MOT the other day and currently has 12 months.

These go for £4500, so grab a bargain with a few minor issues.
