Volkswagen Golf

1990

This is my 1990 Mk2 Golf VR6
3dr in Black
Originally and still registered as an 8v gti
MOT until 11th july 2015,
Tax until End of dec 2014
Have service histroy for the donor car but no other paperwork as such.
Chassis
Full VR6 running gear, brakes, wide track, rear beam, 5x100 etc
Wilwood adjustable brake bias valve
lowered 40mm on new coilovers.
Front and rear upper strut braces
Standard VR6 BBS 15x6.5. could do with a refurb and maybe a tyre or 2.
* (Mite include the corrado speedlines for the right swap)
Engine:
2.8 VR6 OBD1 on Coilpack from 1994 Mk3 VR6
2.9 Inlet manifold and Throttlebody
Cone Filter
6 branch tubular manifold
DecatFull exhaust system
Engine on 126,000 miles (Shell on 140k)
Cable clutch
Runs well, doesn't use oil or coolant, no smoke
New radiator, twin fans on a switch on the dash
.Interior:
2 x OMP Reclining Bucket seats, on mk2 runners so they slide as they should
Standard door cards and rear bench
Factory black roof lining in good condition
Steering wheel missing horn button (horn still functions)
Mk2 Clocks, rev counter works as it should, just changed to 16v clocks as rev counter had intermittent fault
Bodywork:
There are a few rust spots, but the paintwork in general is pretty good.
The fuel filler neck, sills, floor and windscreen have no rot.
The back panel has rotted around the driver's rear light cluster.
It passed an MOT like this.
I have already bought a replacement panel, this will be included. Also have another bootlid but its red, as the original is a bit tatty behind the plastic lock plinth.
Full GTI arch kit, big bumpers.
All in all, a usable, mk2 VR6. Has central locking. And only 1 key. But it fits all locks inc glove box.
Would make a good track car.
Plenty of tax and test, just needs a some work, the majority of the hard work has been done.
I had the intention to make it nice.
But ideally will need a repaint
A few other niggles,
* the centre section of the exhaust rattles against the tunnel as its a mk3 exhaust that has been made to fit.
* the boot is temperamental sometimes wont open/shut dont know if its the catch?
* fog lights arent wired up
* and no radio
I've been as honest as I can be in this description
