Welcome to my advert for my car. It's a VW touran 1.9 tdi, the 90bhp version. Very economical engine. Just recently it's developed a slight fault, detailed below. We have done 8000 faultless miles since buying this used in March 2014, and have recently got back from a 800 mile 3 day holiday, again without fault. When we got home I jumped in it to nip to the shop, and it took a while to start, it turns over but took a few seconds to catch. Once started it feels a little under power, and very occasionally it idles a bit lumpy. I'm not really mechanically minded so I've not got a clue. There's no iffy smells and no leaks I can see, it doesn't overheat either.

My plan was to lower the car, put some fancy wheels on it and go to some VW shows and use it as a small camper. The interior modifications had started with a mount for an iPad mini that can be hooked up to the original stereo so the sound comes through that. The wheels could do with a refurb, I might blow them over before sale to tidy them up. Sadly since the fault developed I've been made redundant so money has put a stop to any fault finding or repair work it may need.

I'm sad to see this go, when we bought it it was a fantastic car, and is still so straight, comfortable and tidy.

I JUST WANT TO MAKE IT CLEAR THE CAR STILL DRIVES, ITS IN DAILY USE AND WILL PROBABLY CONTINUE TO BE FINE, BUT I NEED TO THINK AHEAD A BIT AS REGARDS WORK SITUATION AND FIXING IT IN THE LONG RUN.

I've just had the fault diagnosed as a cam position sensor, I have the part and it will be included in the sale
