It's had a whole new life,
I've given it a M50b25 2.5L 24V
Came out of a 1996 525is
When I got the engine, it had covered 51k mileage, since then it's only done under 1k since project completed.
Project started February 2013. It was finished October 2013.
It passed the mot first time, with 2 advisories. One was brake light was a bit dim. And second one was front drop links are worn.
It has a E46 M3 6 Speed box.
New M3 clutch and ultralightened flywheel
RECONDITIONED 3.91 LSD!!
Pro sport coilovers
New drilled and vented discs.
New brake pads.
Refurbished Callipers.
Rear Disc Conversion.
Braided brake and clutch lines.
Custom propshaft
Fully Polybushed
BRAND New BEYERN MESH 4 Alloy wheels with pretty much Brand new Toyo proxy 4 tyres.
I've had custom Stainless Exhaust System made. Sounds DIVINE! Has a beautiful raspy, 6 cylinder sound!
I've had it resprayed the original colour. So a nice fresh respray! So I hardly need to do any of this polishing crap, all it needs is a nice shampoo, and a clay bar whenever it needs it. I do not spend every weekend polishing it. It looks gorgeous as it is.
I bought the car may 2012. The cars body has done over 140,000 miles. I bought it with the one bit of rust, which was the drivers side front jacking point. This is now sorted!
So this car is in absolutely Rust FREE! condition.
The seats (front and rear) are Reupholstered In Houndstooth Grey Italian Leather. It has a nice blue tone to the leather. And makes the car smell amazing!
And Much more to list...
The bad points...
Small stain on passenger footwell carpet
Heater blower doesn't work due to loose connection behind dash
Stereo head unit isn't connected
Brake servo doesn't build pressure, it wasn't a problem for the MOT, there is just a bit of travel on the pedal before it starts braking
I have loads of receipts from the conversion, I have created a file of all this, as I bought it with no history. So this is all I have.
A LOT of Time and Money has gone into this.
I thought It was time someone else can enjoy this lovely Bmw. And time to move onto to another project.
And don't forget, it has a 6 Speed box. How often do you come across that?
So please respect the time and effort gone into this,
You really need to come and see/experience the car to appreciate what it really is.
It has won 2 Local Show and Shine events.
P/X anything Classic/Oldskool/Newer stuff... Try me!!
