Description:
Here is my Ford Fiesta up for sale due to wanting a change.
Its MOTd until May 2015 and taxed until end of August 2014.
Car is running excellent (getting 42mpg at the moment) and is an ideal first car for someone. Very handy being a 5 door model (no getting out to let your mates get in the back) and for a small car is quite spacious.
In the last 10000 miles it has had new clutch (complete with master and slave cylinders), new cam belt (gates), new front discs and pads, new battery (Bosch S5), low mileage second hand alternator upgrade (90a instead of standard issue 70a), low mileage second hand catalytic converter, oil change and oil filter (Castrol GTX 5w30). Whilst I have owned it for over 2 years it has only gone into a garage to have work done that I have wanted to do not because something has broke therefore it is a very reliable car despite the popular Ford put-downs.
It was very recently put on a rolling road at an event and made 69.9hp at the wheels, 90.8hp at flywheel and 99lb/ft torque at flywheel.
It has the following modifications :
100% Road Legal Green Fly Eye vinyl wrapped headlights.
100% Road Legal Black Fly Eye vinyl wrapped rear lights.
Green Cone Filter with Oil breather filter.
Universal 4” back box with adjustable / removable baffle.
FK Automotive Sport Grill (De-badged).
Full Black / Green seat cover set with matching floor mats.
Black / Green Ford logo on steering wheel.
Black / Green Ford logo on rear tailgate (other badges “Fiesta” and “LX” removed).
Several interior panels sprayed green.
Full set of Smoked Team Heko Wind Deflectors.
Will not come with the current stereo, sub, amp and 6x9s I have in it as they will be transferred across to new car. Rear MDF shelf that’s been carbon wrapped will be included as well as the standard shelf. Wiring kit that will run 2 amps will be left in the car so you will be able to plug and play and amps straight away. This includes 2 power leads from battery, 2 sets of phono leads from headunit, 1 remote lead (which if you want to run 2 amps can be split) and an earth lead in boot that can also be split into 2. I also have speaker wire running through the top of the door trims from headunit to boot for the 6x9s I had in shelf. Current wiring set up for headunit is all 4 door speakers wired to 2 front channels and wiring just mentioned for 6x9s on the rear channels. This is changeable to run 4 door speakers on a channel each (factory) if you choose to run 6x9s through an amp or have no 6x9s at all.
The front passenger wing has a dent in it but this is being looked at in next 2 weeks.
Also in next 2 weeks will have the battery light issue resolved. This is due to an old water leak (from before I owned the car) that has gone over part of the loom between alternator and battery. Alternator is giving out 14.5v and only 12v reaching battery meaning it never goes flat even when it was left for 4 months unused over winter when I had another car on the road.
Overall an excellent, reliable little car that’s cheap to run, insure and keep on the road. Im 31 with 4 years no claims and pay £198/year with all modifications (grille, exhaust, air filter and lights) declared. Tax is £96 for 6 months but with the impending change to road tax system that will allow people to pay monthly isn’t so bad. I get over 350 miles from the 40 litre fuel tank on day to day use - will be more on motorway run.
Priced accordingly for issues listed above to be fixed or will take lower offers for the car as it is with the issues unfixed. I have estimates of work required to fix wing and battery light issue to be £100-£120.
