The Yupiteru MVT-3300 is a considerably better receiver than its price tag would suggest, particularly when it comes to VHF airband reception (also covers low VHF band between 68 and 88 MHz). Airband enthusiasts will be pleased to hear that this scanner is also proficient at monitoring the A.C.A.R.S communication system. This scanner has full band capability (with gaps) plus independent AM/FM mode. The Yupiteru MVT-3300 has gained a reputation for picking up signals that other scanners would have difficulty with.
This offering from Yupiteru has both VFO and band search modes. The search speed is 50 steps per second. With band search you get 10 user programmable (including step size and mode) search bands, plus a capability to bypass up to 100 specified frequencies. Additionaly there is a S.P.READ function that allows you to edit search skipped frequencies. It will also automatically store frequencies found during a search.
The Yupiteru MVT-3300 has 10 banks of 20 memory channels and a search speed of 40 channels per second. Channels can be selected such that they are skipped during a scan. There is also a lock out function to prevent the MVT-3300 locking on to interfered frequencies.
Amongst the other features of this scanner are 10 priority channels, a descrambler for deciphering inversion type encryption transmissions, a lamp which lights up both the LCD display and the keypad, and a pull-down stand.
