Finished in gleaming black with contrasting grey half leather interior, this lovely car is the Sporty Vector version of the Saab 9-3 saloon. Powerful and economical 1.9 litre turbodiesel 16 valve engine that has been re-mapped to 180 BHP and benefitting from nearly 40% extra torque this car is a real flyer, effortless overtaking power and pulling from a little over 1200rpm it shows how sporty a modern tuned diesel engine can be. Returning nearly 40mpg around the the city and close to 60mpg on the motorway, who says you can’t have speed and economy!
Slick 6 speed transmission keeps the engine spinning at a very lazy 1800 rpm at the legal limit enhancing the fuel economy. Way more torque than it’s equivalent petrol versions really makes for a relaxed drive. Clutch and gears are light and precise, with no noises or issues.
Inside is a very nice to be, with a load of toys all quality from Saab, make no mistake there is very little they have left out here. Lovely half leather grey interior with sports front seats, the driver having the luxury of height and lumbar adjustment as well. Headrests all round and a rear armrest with built in dual drinks holder, reading lamps and power sockets cater for the rear seat passengers. Superb upgraded Saab sound system with 9 speakers and separate amplifier make the most of the music either from the FM radio or the CD player, with adjustments available from the steering wheel.
There is also an auxiliary input for I-Pod or MP3 players that can be played through the system, all controlled from the drivers seat. A pre-phone kit is also fitted that can also be controlled from the steering wheel.
Saabs have always been known for safety and this one is no different. It has airbags front, side and rear, 3 point seat belts on all seats and headrests front and rear too. ABS braking and traction control system are part of the cars impressive specification.
Fitted with 17” alloy wheels and locking wheelnuts, 225/45/17 tyres all round with 5-6mm on tread depth. Space saver spare wheel, jack and full toolkit.
Recently serviced and including synthetic oil, filter, air filter, fuel filter,cabin filter, timing belt, tensioner, guides and water pump. New battery and glow plugs, new brake pads all round,and a brake fluid change. A 6000k Xenon HID kit was also fitted giving much brighter illumination and adding to the cars appearance.
Well looked after car with loads spent, with all handbooks, and not to forget taxed and MOT’d.
