Two 512Mb Dimm memory modules

I have two 512MB PC2 5300U DDR memory modules which I removed from my laptop when I replaced them with two 1GB modules. They would be fine to replace faulty memory in an older laptop. I would like to swap them for a Pinnacle Hybrid Pro 330e USB stick which I need to replace a faulty one I was using to digitise some old camcorder footage. I've tried a newer capture stick but my aging laptop will not work properly with the newer capture cards.
