Here for sale is my vw golf gt tdi 115

I'm selling the car as spares or repairs as I was driving home one night and it began smoking and wouldn't rev over 2000rpm and was told this was the turbo seal or the turbo. The car was switched off as soon as I saw the smoke so not to risk any further damage being caused.

I am not 100% sure that it's the turbo but have had a few people tell me the same thing - turbo - and for this reason I am going to cut my losses as I don't have the time or space to mess around with the car.

I have a contact who has the same engine in another car who has a turbo so could pass on details to the new owner should they want to just put a second hand good running turbo on instead of forking out for a new one.

The car ran really well and was very economical being the 6 speed and would see beyond 60mpg on a run while still having power on tap at any time - should you need.


A few good points:-

•Full leather interior in pristine condition
•US Spec bumpers (front has smoothed recess with Amber lights on the side of the bumpers) and rear has a shortened number plate recess
•Weitec coilovers - an outstanding ride considering how low the car is - very smooth indeed!
•Full limo tints on the rear windows with a lighter tint to the front - nice on hot days as takes away the heat from inside the car


A few bad points:-
•Windscreen has a crack across the top (not in vision as to distract) and still passed an Mot but worth mentioning.
•Steering developed a knock - am told it needs new cv joints/ boots
•Short tax and mot - until July/ August


The car would break for good money just with the bits listed and then there's the rest of the car but I don't have space for it all.


Just being as honest as I can so any bidders/ potential buyers are informed fully. It grieves me to be putting the car on here as it was a joy to drive!
