Mk2 golf gti type19 1986

Description:

As the title says.
this golf has been kept in tip top condition by me and the previous owners to ensure its reliability and comfort. now the list of new parts iv fitted are as follows.
Heater matrix
Matrix hoses
Radiator
Radiator temp sender
Water pump
Thermostat
Aux belt (had cam belt checked and it was relatively new)
Rocker cover gasket
Complete gear linkage kit
Wishbones with all bushes
Drop links arb
Track rods
Track rod ends
Rebuilt driveshaft’s
Rear axle bushes are supplied but not fitted (they don’t need replacing but i bought them as a just encase)
Front and rear top mounts, rear wheel bearings. all receipted and a folder full of old mots tax discs and receipts for work n parts right back till new.
It has 12 months mot and six months tax. its on 128k but going up as it gets used regularly. The car is an early gti or as most people call them a type19. so this has the very rare original arches without side strips/mouldings and original gti side repeater blanks also very rare to find still with the car. The wiper set up is left hand drive side so no common blanking hole also no rear vw badge or rear wiper this again is an original feature. The black colour was a limited 1 year only addition on these early type 19's. All these little original extras are very quirky and stand this car out from the normal mk2 golf. The car has also been awarded mike brewers car of show and was awarded a nice little trophy.
It has a couple of little mods on the car like
momo steering wheel (also have original minus the horn centre though)
Single de badged grill with eye brow spoiler
a rare pipercross open basket induction kit for k-jet
original small bumpers (red stripe) with original deep chin spoiler
the wheels are Schmitz modern line 3 piece split rim referbed with bigger dishes to give a 9.5j on all 4 corners polished lips with gold centres. They are wearing a brand new set of Avon 205 40 16 tyres that gives a nice subtle/safe stretch
Now all cars have their bad bits and this car is no exception but doesn’t have many for a 28 year old gti.
The paint is very good but does have a small mark on the roof and about 3 other little chips n scratches not very noticeable ( I didn’t notice them for a couple weeks after buying it)
Also the driver’s door has a small blister coming through but very small and only just noticeable.
The roof gutter rubbers are a little worn but again not noticeable.
The front lower plastic grill/mesh is not present on the car but replacements are about £18 again this is not very noticeable.
Otherwise a very very good solid reliable and lovely looking golf that you would struggle to if never find this type and condition of golf.
These are all minor little cosmetic faults and do not affect the look or drivability of the car.
The car also has mk 4 golf alloys for winter wheels
