Description:
Delightful Antique Kutani Koro.Meiji period ( 1868- 1912 ) Shi-Shi (Temple Lion) Design finial on the koro lid. Fine porcelain body with decoration in typical iron red and gilding. Cartouches with flowers and birds on one side and flowers on the other side set in reserve on a red ground with gilded detailing. Delightful antique koro but the tail of the lion, which is the lid handle, has been broken off and inexpertly repaired at some point.Signe in red to the base.
Stands approximately 21cm with lid.
