2ltr Corsa track/ road car
Location: North East England - sheffield
Swap Value: £500+
Model:
Vauxhall Corsa
Year:
2000
Mileage:
n/a
Description:
the corsa started out as a 1ltr, base spec model, so no electric windows power steering and more inportantley no sun roof, so nice and light, the intention was to use it for hill climb events, so it was fitted with a c20ne, the 8v 2ltr, as these engines are a lot stronger and produce more torque than red tops,
so spec atm
12months mot and two months tax
engine,
c20ne 8v, using group b rally exhaust system, fse rising rate fuel pressure regulator and oil catch can, nothing drastic power wise but there a loads of extras in the garage, not fitted yet but i'll list them in a moment,
fitted using an f20 gear box and stage one clutch (can be jerkey in traffic- expected with up rated clutches)
using the usual engine mount conversion, but used the big shaft conversion with motor sport hubs so nothing like cv joints should brake.
i replaced the head casket, water pump, timming belt, tensioner, full service about 2 months ago so that i new the engine would be strong, allso changed the throtle body for one from a frontera so that it's slightly larger,
the engine its self is an early c20ne so it doesnt use a lamba sensor, i know the engine is running perfect air fual ratio atm because at the mot station it was running perfect for the emissions,
shcassi
new shocks all round with 30mm springs, new ball joints, track rod ends, wheel bearings (front and rear) and cv joints, everything like new so i knew nothing could go wrong, replaced the hand brake cable, and clutch cable, all new parts,
the brakes are the usuall big brake conversion from a mk3 astra gsi, but fitted with new red dot disc and ceramic pads.
shell
the shell is registered as 2ltr and the tax is the same, the insurance however insist that it comes up as a 1ltr, even with mods declared it costs me less than 500 as therer are no rear seats, rear 4 point roll cage fitted, with rear strut braces, rear battery conversion with isolator switch fitted to the dash, atm there is an oil pressure gauge but i have connected this to the fpr so you can see what fuel pressure its running, as its adjustable on the fse fpr, fitted with a gsi 16v in tank pump, fitted with a cobra monaco bucket seat, Nardi steering wheel and the compulsery alloy gear knob, the interior is stripped comfortably, leaving in the front door cards and dash board, no problems using this every day to get to work.
atm its fitted with a set of 15 kie racing wheels, with new (3 months ago) tyres on the front, with bolt on spacers and bolt on type wide arches
there are a few age related marks on the car but as you can tell she was built for go, not show, on the mot it came back witch an advisory for underfloor corosion, i didnt realise but it looks like the previous owner had jacked the car up in the wrong position and put the jack through the corner on the drivers foot well, i have removed the bodged repair and tack welded a plate in, then sealed in, not hidden away, left so you can see it, apart from that it flew streight through
i'm sure theres more but it gives you an idea, i still have the original drivers seat, and quite a large amount of extra tunning parts in the garage for the engine if a deal was to be agreed, however i'm open to all swaps, fancy somthing bigger, with a bit of power, but open to all offers and swaps, thanks
