Description:
up for swaps is my beloved 1988 peugeot 205 gti 1.9 model,
4 months tax and 3 months MOT.
when i got the car it was already a 2l turbo but the engine was worn, it still made 217 bhp on 14 psi
engine & transmission:
low mileage 1998 peugeot 406 sri engine fitted last month,
uprated headgasket,
cylinder head has been acid dipped, flowed and reconditioned (valves re lapped) for higher compression.
gofast boost controller in engine bay 5psi(stock) - 18 psi full boost
uprated 8.5mm HT leads
brand new coilpack
uprated ngk spark plugs gapped smaller for high boost,
standard t25 turbo reconditioned 2 years ago.

drum brakes on the rear i find it very safe when braking, back end rarely jumps out under braking.
wheels and tyres, ronal turbo alloys with 2 toyo proxies and 2 yokahoma parada spec 2.
there is 2 r888 tyres spare and 4 cylone rims.
wheel spacers are used for the ronal turbos
the front end has suffered alot of stone chips, the bumper has been cut and resprayed when the intercooler was fitted, the bonnet is from an auto because it has the bulge and has bonnet pins fitted, this has also been resprayed 2 months ago a woman hit my nsr arch and the nsr has been painted with a perfect match and blend, with a new arch fitted.
the interior is spot on apart from the top cowling has been snapped when a speedo cable has been changed and the drivers electric window is always open by 1cm, the gears inside need changing.
there is a boost guage fitted below the cd player in the lid of the storage tray.

the car is amazing to drive, it toodles round towns and villages nicely it is a proper drivers car, no abs, no power steering, you can really feel whats going on, then you come to a country road or dual carriageway and its a completely different car, with it being so light and so powerful the acceleration is savage, it eats any corner with the bilstien shocks and the tyres stick to the road like glue, and the brakes are spot on, no fade at all.
i will be reluctant to swap this car since i have spent hours and thousands making it what it is, it is the ultimate thrill to drive, and its even better when you come by a porche or a bmw m3 in a 25 year old hatchback, priceless.
