Half day course in Makaton for parents, carers, etc who wish to help their child with speech delay or difficulties. Makaton is a world wide universal system using speech, symbols, written word, sign Language and body language. It is not in place of speech but helps the child associate the above with the spoken word but is also away of communicating needs which will reduce the stress and anxiety a child feels when they are having difficulty communicating in a way that adults, their parents or their carers understand. Small group in comfortable surroundings tea/coffee/juice & biscuits provided. Parking space.
