1997 vw golf gti 8v fjord blue (which I'm told is rare) 

The car itself is a great starting place for a project I had big plans but a new house signalled a new sensible car so have got something a little newer and not modding 

The car will come with approx 6 months mot but no tax as insurance stopping so have to sorn 

Modifications staying with car Jom coilovers 

Schmidt TH lines will be one vehicle

Cl rear lights spray tinted all red will have the smoked lights also if all reds not to your taste approx £40 SPARE PARTS (PICTURED)

Sony head unit and sub/amp in boot

Full black leather upgrade - 
**Mushroom door cards (few scrapes but reasonable)
**Black colour concept rear bench (mint) 
**Front bucket seats Recaro Speed Replicas (pictured) interior alone is probably worth £450

Has the original boot liner

Bonnet Bra included in sale £40

VR6 Splitter has been removed as was catching due to lowness and the standard GTi one back on.

Blue Front VW badge is also now gloss black

Rear VW Badge is in ST orange at the moment

De Wipered rear still have parts if you wish to refit

Pressed Numberplates (LEGAL) still reflective

Also included are US Spec front bumper indicator/Side lights never got round to having them fitted. £35 when puchased

This car is generally in very good condition it has the usual couple of dings and chips which are age related.

But lots of people comment on how clean it is and one bodyshop was convinced it had a full respray it's that clean but he couldn't find any marks to suggest it had actually had it! 

One of the previous owners slightly knocked the front offside quarter and it has had a paintless repair it is a little ripply but hardly noticeable have pictured for auction! 

The car has approx 93, 000 miles There are a couple of problems which as far as I can tell are generally common faults with the mk3 the abs light is on many people would of probably unplugged this but trying to be honest as can 

The drivers window is faulty the motor is fine but sounds like the regulator is faulty don't think this is that expensive I was quoted £100 including new motor regulator and labour. 

There is a slight blow from the exhaust but never bothered me as was going to change anyway! Have receipts for where replaced i suspect a loose connection as was near when i purchased.

The car recently had a new clutch fitted a sachs one and new release bearing that was in Jan/Feb times and since fitting i did approx 500 miles i have missed placed the receipt however will happily put you in contact with the garage who replaced. 

The vehicle is very much a credit to its previous owners and is well maintained, could do with a service where i have had off road, still cleaned regularly using DODO juice and clay bar every 6 months, and machine polished every 2 months/ during the bad weather we've had the vehicle was stationary so should be no nasty salt underneath.

After the time waster last time i have set a reserve, if the car does not meet the reserve i may break the car however i think this is a excellent opportunity for a great project certainly for a 1.8 turbo engine or VR6 swap, and would rather it went to a good new owner who will love and enjoy the VAG scene as much as i always have done.

I probably also have quite a few spares in the garage as have had a few mk3's and need to clear my parents garage as they are getting sick of it all, this won't be my last but right now i need space so everything mk3 golf related will go with the car.
