Green screen software / editing programs
Location: East Anglia - Witham
Swap Value: £1-£10
Description:
This a CD containing demo/trial versions of various software programs.
I DO NOT earn a commission for recommending these programs;
I originally created the CD as a give away for a photographic venture I tried to set up. That didn't work, so - rather than simply dump the CD's -
they're being offered for cost of the media / postage only
The programs on the CD include the following ...
(Visit links below description for more details)
* FX Home "Photokey"
Green screen software
To say this is "green screen software" is to oversimplify things somewhat.
For example, you can also do overlays to create magazine type covers. Plus, it has a "hot folder" whereby each photo saved to this folder is automatically processed by the software so you can see your images straight away.
Lots of other features too.
* FX Home "HitFilm"- very similar to 'After Effects', but a lot cheaper! Can operate with video on multiple planes, has a built in particle generator to emulate flame, smoke, water etc, and can handle 2D and 3D camera tracking.
It is a very comprehensive program with quite a steep learning curve ... but not as complex as AE.
New version out next month can handle 3D models
* 123 Video Magic
Another green screen program, but at a lower cost with less feature than PhotoKey
Helicon Focus
When you have limited depth-of-field, this gets everything sharp again
In practice, you take a photo of an object at (say) three focus settings. The program will then 'merge' the images so that the picture is in focus from the closest setting, through the mid range and onto the distant setting.
It's akin to how HDR merges different exposure settings, but this works on the focus values.
* Helicon Filter
Sorry, too much to explain here.
* Real World Paint
This is a photo editing program akin to Photoshop. OK, so it might not have all the features of the latter ... but then it is nowhere near the price either!.
* Debugmode WAX
A video editor / SFX software that's free, but with lower quality output
Never tried it, but from what I've seen, the interface can be a little "quirky"
* Dynamic Auto Painter
With a program like Photoshop, the painting effects simply swirl colours around to give the appearance of a painting or watercolour. But this program takes the concept a stage further, and actually emulates brush strokes/style, how light would reflect off each stroke etc. It also emulates the technique of various well knows artists to create a "painting" in the style of that person. Well worth a look
* Dynamic HDR
The photographer takes (say) three pictures at varying exposure levels, and the software 'knits' them together to create an increases in the brightness/shadow range of images, so called High Dynamic Range
* PhotoBlend
Photoshop uses layers to merge different images into one composite. This software does the same ... but with a little more finesse as it notes how light from one layer would adjust the look of objects on other layers. It's quite clever in what it can do. The site features various videos that show its capabilities
