2.0 Zetec Turbo 260 BHP @ 8 PSI
This is an RS Turbo re-shelled into a rock solid 1300cc Bonus shell.
Here is my Escort rs turbo re-shelled into a 1.3 bonus shell and fitted with a 2.0 16v Zetec turbo engine running Megasquirt management, approx 260bhp.
There has been a lot of money spent on this car and has currently got 12 months mot on it & is taxed for 6 months too.
This by far the cleanest Mk4 Escort shell that I’ve seen with mint battery tray, floor pans, boot floor etc, etc. The car has had a small patch of welding on rear of both sills but that’s it and won’t need any more welding for a good few year. No sunroof either.
2.0 16 valve Zetec turbo engine, rebuilt with new oil pump, water pump, focus multilayer steel head gasket, stronger valve springs, ARP conrod bolts, new timing belt kit, done around 600 mile since built.

New stage 3 T3 turbo with -31 actuator
Megasquirt management with wideband lamda sensor,(megasquirt ecu located in glovebox as pictured)
Blue racing HT leads
Full water and boost blue Samco hoses
GRS front mount intercooler
Airtech Alloy radiator and slimline fan
Alloy polished header tank,
Forged dump valve
New steering rack t/rod ends, bottom arms and shock absorbers
Full polybush kit to the front end.
Tracking just been done
Drilled n grooved front discs
Genuine Escort Cosworth alloys in vgc, good tyres all round
Cossie leather front seats
New paddle clutch
Vibratech gearbox mount
New engine mount
88 spec door cards
Front alloy strut brace, not fitted but comes with car
New battery and terminals to make it round post
Lowered 60mm
RS 4 spoke steering wheel
Boost gauge
New smoked rear lights
Chrome spark plug cover, laser cut with Zetec
Full stainless exhaust
Alarm/ immobiliser with 2 fobs and 2 car keys, remote start – you can start the car from in the house on cold mornings and it will be warm by time you get in it & ready to rumble.
This car starts, runs & drives extremely well & with a little tweaking (simple boost & fuel increase) it will become a true 300+BHP animal whilst maintaining its reliability.
The Bonus is still registered as a 1300cc so qualifies for cheap tax too.
Bad points are, there are a few minor marks to the body, speedo doesn’t work, blower control twist switch needs replacing, no stereo
