This is my 2nd swap, the first swap was quite fair, but this time he knew i was in a rush due to hospital appointment and asked for his honesty as i would not have time to check the car over.
I was told the car was immaculate with no problems at all.
On the way home i noticed that the car was quite gutless the abs light came on and a tyre was worn on the inside to the canvas.
On inspection the car's exhaust was taped with brand new duck tape where the cat is (expensive) ABS sensor needed renewing, the car had 4 days MOT not 12 months.
I guess its my fault for not checking, but having swapped before with him, i trusted him.
The car is now immaculate with 12 months MOT, but i asked him to help me out with 25% of the costs, this he agreed, but then he disappeared.
so be careful, check carefully as he can't be trusted.
If offered a Saab convertible the turbo has gone, be warned.
User reply: What an idiot, i originally swapped this car for a Hyundai santa fe which i discovered needed £300 spending on it. i then swapped my saab back for a landrover freelander which was excellent, he knew everything about freelander. My saab certainly hasnt got anything wrong with the turbo, it has just recently now been serviced and has a good mot on it. Very disapointed with him as a swapper, just look at my excellent feedback! |
