Ford Escort MK1/MK2 Steering Wheel
I found this while having a rumage in the garage but I'm not sure where it came from. I have been told its for a MK1 or a MK2 Escort & that its an aftermarket part with the number 3 2263 but thats all i know. It was being described as used because in some of the pictures, you can see it has a few paint marks along with a bit of loose stitching & a bit of rust on the metal spokes but that was due to being stored in a garage & I have seen worse. Since originally listing it i have sanded back the paint & surface rust & painted it with black hammer metal paint. When trying to removing the plastic case on the back it broke in two but i super-glued it back together, sanded it and also painted that so it looks the same and you cant see the join. I have also painted the plastic casing with the Ford logo. It looks a lot better but because i used a brush, there are a few very minor run marks because of the holes. Someone else could make a better job but depends how you want it to look. I have also cleaned up the leather so although there are a few dig marks, i can hardly see the paint fleks which were noticeable. Considering it has got to be at least 30 years old, i think its an very good condition. I have uploaded pictures of what i have done but i only have a camera on my tablet which isn't very good so the details may not be so obvious. This would make a lovely addition or upgrade to your car.
