MK3.5 VW Golf Avantgarde Cabriolet Diesel

Originally a 2.0 8v engine it has had a full conversion to a 1.9tdi AHU engine from a mk3 wagon which has been registered with the DVLA. This can be checked here https://www.vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk using the reg S396MNH. I also have a vehicle inspection report from Robinsons (Norwich) Audi confirming the details of the engine swap and that it has just passed its MOT there.

MOT until 19th May 2015.
Tax until 01st October 2014

It is a Cat C, it was involved in a crash in 2008 and put back on the road by an approved repair centre who have guaranteed their work for life.

There is around 115k miles on the car with 133k on the engine which will continue to increase. It is thought the cambelt was changed at around 119k.

This is very economical and I just managed to do 600 miles on £60 worth of Diesel.

The paintwork has a few marks and dings on it with a number touch ups however it does clean up nicely.

The automatic roof works perfectly with no rips or tears.

There is an air leak in the central locking so sometimes when locking the car the pump runs a bit longer than normal but this doesn't affect the working function of the lock.

There is a slight issue which I think may be down to the abs in that some times when coming to a slow stop it sounds like the abs is trying to kick in and there is an on off grinding noise. Other than this the breaks are strong and doesn't affect heavy breaking and didn't affect the car passing its MOT.
